Wandering Thoughts: A Solitary Talk

Read, share and spread
Sitting in a bench, beside a brook
When the silence take over the gloom
Puzzled in my own thought, I looked at the sky
Mesmerized by the serenity and tranquility,
I gave my wandering thoughts a try

The winds were chilled and the brook beside me was filled
Everything was so silent
But I wander why are my thoughts being so violent
Disturbed in my own canopy, I stood up and decided to walk
Barely I had travelled when I heard a knock
I look around and paused
Unable to discover anything I assume it to be a mistake
But it’s repetition make me shake
Little far, away from my sight,
There were two miniatures having a fight
It was interesting to hear their conversation-
The one being HOPE and the other called TRUST
Trust calling him superior and giving Hope a thrust
Unable to come to a conclusion they decide to settle the matter by having a human say
And what beneficial when I was standing right in their way
I was in a dilemma what to say
If hope keep us moving forward then trust make us grow
If trust nurture us then hope keep as alive
If one is lighting then the other is glow
If one lift our spirits then the other rejuvenate our soul
It was difficult for me to have a hold
I was not able to decide whether to laugh at their stupidity
Or smile at their innocence
How can one be superior and other inferior,
Both are equally important in the race
With a simper on my face, I just conclude -
Human need both to have a grounded root
If trust is important for everything to exist in life
Then hope is necessary for anything to thrive
So I leave the question to u?
I was not able to decide might be u

                                                                                                                                      Himani Dhauni
