To create awareness about the importance of the environment we live in, the United Nations decided to celebrate June 5 as the WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY. This year too it was celebrated with the Theme – ONLY ONE EARTH.
Having studied Geology in my Master’s I feel a close connection with the nature. I love the way it embraces every entity residing in it. So on this special day, a small narration from the bottom of my heart.
To my compassionate guide, passionate lover
How will I live if you cry
My companion of sorrow, my partner of joy
My world will end if you die
You have the power that can heal any heart
Landscape that can nurture any garden
Space that is feasible for person of every caste, creed, gender
Portrait that have imperium to mesmerize anyone
But still you fight for your own existence
Why we humans are so insane to your prerequisite?
Why we cannot differentiate between our needs and greed?
This environment days, lets pledge to make every nook and corner green
To make this earth an alluring place for dwelling
Environment play a key role to balancing human life… And you expressed it very well.
